A day like today, but less cold (I was living in the southern hemisphere) I found a dress that it would travel with me around the world. A hand-knitted crochet dress, the first time I wore it, I decided to use a very big bra and a culotte or knickers in the shape of shorts. It was good for my self esteem (!) but I felt …naked.
A while ago it hit me, after all a knitted dress is a bit of a long jumper, isn’t it?
The colour was also a problem, red and green is very Christmasy and all but what would you wear underneath? What colours I mean, I think the best for this particular dress/jumper is black. So I started thinking about different options:
1) a little (plain) bodycon dress
2) leggings and a turtleneck light jumper
3) jeggings and a long sleeves top
I finally decided to go for this combo: a plain black top from Oysho (The link goes to a similar one) the AMAZEBALLS high waisted “Jamie” from Topshop, I’ve been dreaming with those jeans since I wore them for a couple of commercials, yes a couple, not just one, I think they are probably the favourite choice among wardrobe stylists when it comes to black jeans.
I matched them with sexy block heeled ankle boots to act as a contrast against the “granny” style that the crochet has by nature, I’ve chosen the sleek looking Buffalo boots made in UK, or at least is what I’ve remember reading, from Zalando.
The finishing touches: Luminous red nail polish from Nails Inc that I got at Boots with a Colgate tooth paste and a statement ring I bought at the Victoria and Albert Shop
